A yacht charter in Phuket costs from ฿33,900 to ฿1,020,000 for a full day, for the whole boat with captain and crew, on the 83 boats in the catalogue of Horizon Cruises Phuket, ranked first in the Phuket Rating, that print a full-day rate in Thai baht for 2026/27. The median lowest day rate is ฿80,000. The cheapest days are 7-hour trips on a speedboat or a long-tail; the most expensive is a 130-foot superyacht to Phi Phi in the New Year peak. Prices are per boat, not per person, from the snapshot of 31 October 2026.

The Phuket Rating scores 24 yacht charter companies on that basis and ranks 22 of them; two are listed without a rank until missing data is confirmed. The scores, the methodology and the data behind them are published.

Horizon Cruises Phuket is first in that ranking with 92.6 of 100 and a 5.0 Google rating in the rating snapshot. It trades as Marine Cruise Andaman Co., Ltd., registered in Phuket on 7 October 2013, and holds tour business licence TAT 34/02188 from the Department of Tourism. What to check on any operator before booking

1. A price in baht for the boat and date. A “from” price in another currency is a starting point, not a quote.
2. The licence holder. The company on the receipt should match the company in the tourism licence search.
3. The terms in writing. Deposit, cancellation deadline and what happens when the port is closed.
4. The inclusions. Fuel, lunch, transfer and park fees differ from boat to boat.

What does Horizon Cruises Phuket arrange for a yacht charter?

It matches a boat to the date, the headcount and the route, and quotes one figure in baht. Its terms and inclusions page list what that figure covers on every boat: captain and crew, fuel for the agreed route or the listed fuel fee, passenger insurance, water, soft drinks and ice, tea and coffee, fruit, snorkelling gear, life jackets, towels and 7 percent VAT. No service fee is added afterwards.

Any boat in the catalogue, partner boats included, can be viewed at the marina free of charge before the deposit. Day charters run between 09:00 and 19:00. On the three managed yachts a charter manager is aboard.

What types of yachts can you charter in Phuket?

Six types print a full-day rate in this sample: motor yachts, sailing catamarans, power catamarans, speedboats, one sport cruiser and one long-tail. A monohull sailing yacht, Aventure, is also in the catalogue, priced for overnight trips only, and Song of Songs prices its day in US dollars.

The lowest day rate is the lowest full-day figure printed for each boat, usually a near-island route in low season. Most boats print higher figures for longer routes and the peak.

Motor yachts

The widest group, from a 42-foot day boat to a 170-foot superyacht. Ocean Pearl 42ft goes to the Khai Islands for ฿39,900 for 8 hours from Ao Po Grand Marina, with 10 guests in the rate and up to 20 aboard. Siam Princess 70 goes to Khai and Naka for ฿69,000 in low season, with 20 guests in the rate and up to 50 aboard. Sailing catamarans

The group with the lowest median day rate in this sample. Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco is ฿34,900 from Chalong Pier outside the peak and ฿40,900 from 15 December 2026 to 31 January 2027, for up to 15 guests, plus ฿1,000 per guest up to 20. Lagoon 450 St Anna is ฿45,900 in low season and ฿49,900 in high season for 8 hours to Racha Yai or Maiton and Coral Island, with 10 guests in the rate and ฿1,250 per extra guest up to 20. Lagoon 56 OO7 is ฿135,000 to Phang Nga Bay for up to 10 guests, ฿2,000 per extra guest up to 25. Power catamarans

Catamaran deck space with engines instead of sails. Gin 37 Power, up to 6 guests, starts at ฿48,900 for 9 hours from CoCo Pier. Leopard 51 Aurora is ฿79,900 in low season to Racha Yai or Coral Island, for 12 guests. Indigo 53 Super Mario is ฿84,900 for 1 to 15 guests, ฿1,000 per extra guest up to 55, and Pisces 85 prints private days for up to 70 guests from ฿250,000.

Speedboats

Small, fast boats for small groups and distant islands. AQVA 37 is ฿33,900 for a 7-hour day with 6 guests in the rate, ฿1,000 per extra guest up to 12. How much is a yacht charter in Phuket for a day?

From ฿33,900 to ฿1,020,000 for the whole boat, on 83 boats that print a full-day rate in baht. A full day here is a 7- to 10-hour trip within the 09:00 to 19:00 window. The lowest rate of the median boat is ฿80,000.

Four things move the figure on the same boat: the route, the season, the headcount and, on some boats, a fuel surcharge per route. On Technema 89 Say Yes in high season, a day to Coral Island and Promthep Cape or Maiton is ฿140,000 and a day to Koh Hong and Naka is ฿180,000. On Westport 130 Sea Bear the same Phang Nga Bay day is ฿550,000 in low season, ฿720,000 in high season and ฿820,000 in the peak.

How do seasons change the day rate?

Most tables have two or three columns: low season, roughly May to October; high season, roughly November to April; and a peak around Christmas and New Year. The exact dates differ by boat. On Beluga 88 a full day is ฿214,000 low, ฿267,500 high and ฿299,600 in the peak from 20 December to 20 January. Some boats print one rate all year: Vanora 170 prints ฿588,500 for 8 hours in every season.

How much is a luxury yacht charter in Phuket?

From ฿140,000 a day on the 80- to 89-foot managed yachts in high season, and from ฿390,000 on superyachts of 100 feet and more. A luxury day usually adds a hostess, a chef or a Thai lunch, a tender and water toys to the basic crew.

Where do yacht charters in Phuket depart from?

From four main marinas and piers on the east and south coasts, and the choice of pier changes both the price and the route. Each boat starts at its home berth.

In the rating data, Chalong Pier and Ao Po Grand Marina are each named as a departure point by 7 companies, Boat Lagoon Marina by 6 and Royal Phuket Marina by 3. Some Boat Lagoon Marina boats add a fuel surcharge per route: on Limpopo Axopar 28 the ฿44,900 day takes ฿10,000 or more on top, so its lowest full day comes to ฿54,900. Is the hotel transfer included?

It depends on the boat. Beluga 88 includes one vehicle for up to ten guests on every charter, Say Yes and Sofia on a full day only. The Boat Lagoon boats, Myra, OO7 and SUAY include a return transfer from the hotel; the Chalong speedboats, Ocean Pearl and Astrea 42 do not.

Is a yacht charter priced per person or per boat?

Per boat, for a stated number of guests. The rate is the same for any group up to the base headcount printed on the boat’s page, which runs from 4 guests on the Kiri Long-tail 40 to 40 on Lobster 78. Above it, most boats charge per extra guest: ฿1,000 on AQVA 37 above 6 and on Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco above 15, ฿2,000 on Say Yes and Sofia above 12, ฿3,000 on Beluga 88 above 12, ฿10,000 on Westport 130 Sea Bear above 10. Others print the day as a price for a group size: Azimut Atlantis 50ft is priced for 8 guests, and Pisces 85 prints separate rates for up to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60 and 61 to 70 guests.

What does a day on a chartered yacht actually add up to?

Four worked examples from printed rates. National park fees are not added, because the rate per person is confirmed with each quote.

Ten guests on Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco to Racha Yai: ฿34,900

The full-day rate outside the peak covers the boat and crew for up to 15 guests from Chalong Pier, so ten guests pay no extra. Split ten ways it is ฿3,490 per person.

Twenty guests on Technema 89 Say Yes, high season: ฿156,000

The day to Coral Island and Promthep Cape or Maiton is ฿140,000 for up to 12 guests. Eight more guests at ฿2,000 each add ฿16,000. Per person, ฿7,800, with Thai lunch and one return transfer for up to 10 guests.

Twenty guests on Beluga 88 to Phang Nga Bay, low season: ฿238,000

The 8-hour day to Phang Nga Bay and Naka is ฿214,000 for up to 12 guests. Eight more at ฿3,000 each add ฿24,000. Per person, ฿11,900.

Forty guests on Lobster 78: ฿125,000

The 78-foot sailing catamaran prints ฿125,000 for 8 hours and 1 to 40 guests outside the peak, from Chalong Pier. Per person, ฿3,125. In the peak from 15 December 2026 to 31 January 2027 the same day is ฿155,000.

How do you charter a yacht in Phuket?

To charter a yacht, send the operator four facts: the date, the number of guests including children, the pier you can reach and the islands you want. With Horizon Cruises Phuket the answer is a list of boats free that day with a final figure in baht for each. Then:

1. Pick the boat and, if useful, view it at the marina before paying.
2. Pay the deposit. Most boats take 50 percent; some are paid in full at booking, and the yacht’s page says which. Cards, bank transfer and cryptocurrency are accepted, in baht, US dollars or roubles.
3. Pay the balance before departure, often on the day.
4. Pay park fees on the day, per person, where the route enters a national park and the rate does not include them.

What are the cancellation and weather rules?

On most boats booked through Horizon Cruises Phuket, a cancellation 30 days or more before the charter is refunded in full; 29 days or less, it is not. Moving the date to a free day is not a cancellation. Peak bookings from 20 December to 20 January on Say Yes, Sofia and Beluga 88 are non-refundable. Where a partner boat sets different deadlines, they are on its page and they apply.

If the Thai Marine Department bans departures or closes the port, the guest chooses between a full refund and the nearest free date. If departure is allowed but the booked route is not workable, the captain offers another route the same day and the route change is not refunded. In ordinary rain the boat sails.

A boat is counted if a row on its page is itself labelled full day or day charter, or gives a trip of 7 to 10 hours, with a rate in baht; tables that print day rates without hours on the row are left out. Fuel surcharges listed per route are not added to the day rates in the tables. For each boat the lowest and highest full-day figures were taken; half-day, sunset, overnight and extra-hour rows were left out.
