Is lunch included on a private yacht in Phuket? Food, drinks and chef on 84 boats, 2026/27

Lunch is in the full-day price on 53 of the 84 boats listed by Horizon Cruises Phuket, left out on 24 and not stated on 5; on a half day it comes with only 5 of the 56 boats that sell one. A full day with lunch costs from ฿39,500 on a 28 ft speedboat to ฿550,000 on a 130 ft motor yacht; the cheapest days, from ฿33,900, have no lunch, and paid set lunches start at ฿400 per person. Soft drinks are listed on 81 pages, beer on 51. Prices are for the whole boat with crew, not per person, from each boat’s page on 4 October 2026.

All 84 boats are listed by Horizon Cruises Phuket, the company ranked first of 23 in the Phuket Rating yacht charter ranking with 92.4 of 100 under the published methodology. Three of them are yachts under the company’s management: Technema 89 Say Yes, Ferretti 80 Sofia and Beluga 88. Each includes a Thai lunch on full days, or a private chef in its place on request with menu ingredients at ฿1,050 to ฿1,750 per person, plus soft drinks, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and a case of beer. The others are partner boats in its catalogue. The company describes lunch as part of the full day on most boats and generally not of the half day, with some boats selling it as a paid extra; the boat’s page holds the exact list. Other companies, their fleets and their scores are in the full ranking.

Which boats include lunch, drinks and a chef?

Boats are sorted by their lowest full-day price, the whole boat with crew; Song of Songs is priced in US dollars, and Aventure and Sunreef 60 Eco E-MOTION sell only overnight trips. Every cell comes from the boat’s “What is included” and “What is not included” lists, its price table or its description on 4 October 2026. “Not stated” means the page says nothing either way; a dash means the boat does not sell that format or the page does not list the item. “No, sold extra” marks a published food price, “no, pre-order” food ordered ahead at extra charge without a printed price, and “no, restaurant ashore” an à la carte lunch at a restaurant. In the chef column, “overnight only” means a chef comes with the overnight format and not with the day trip.

How does it differ by boat type?

Motor yachts include lunch in the full day on 30 of 41 boats, but none of the 28 motor yachts with a half day lists lunch on it. The only half-day lunches are on five power catamarans from Boat Lagoon Marina. Sailing catamarans are the other way round: 8 of 14 leave lunch out of the day. Six of them, the catamarans from Chalong Pier and Nakalay Pier, take food on pre-order and quote some of the lowest day prices in the list. Speedboats include lunch on 7 of 9, and most of their pages tie it to the full day; on Limpopo Axopar 28 it is a picnic sandwich lunch. The two speedboats without lunch and the long-tail boat take food on pre-order.

Is lunch included on a full day?

On 53 boats, yes. The pages describe it in several ways: a Thai lunch, a buffet lunch on the two Indigo catamarans, lunch with a barbecue on the Boat Lagoon catamarans, a picnic sandwich lunch on Limpopo Axopar 28, “food and snacks” on Astondoa 102ft and all meals on Song of Songs. The cheapest full days with lunch are Limpopo Axopar 28 at ฿39,500 for four guests, Lagoon 450 St Anna at ฿42,900 and Pina Colada 40 at ฿45,000.

On 24 boats lunch is not in the full-day price, and they fall into four groups:

• Sold extra at a published price, 9 boats: Satisfaction 55, Gin 37, Sea Ray Sundancer 46 Vodka, Whisky 48, the 4-Engine Speed Catamaran, Fortuna 55, Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42, Princess S65 KATI and Princess S72 KATI S. The prices are in the table further down.
• Pre-order at extra charge, no printed price, 10 boats: Kiri Long-tail 40, AQVA 37, Al Dhaen 38 Vice, Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco, Fountaine Pajot 42 Tahaa, Leopard 47 Summer S, Leopard 48 Summer V, Nautitech 47 Pepper, Nautitech 47 Senna and The Origin 90 on day trips.
• À la carte at a restaurant ashore, 2 boats: Ocean Pearl 42ft and Prada 50.
• Not included, 3 boats: Princess 54 and Princess 78 list chef and meals as not included, Vanora 170 lists food.

Five pages do not say whether lunch comes with the day: Azimut 46, Happy Ours 58, Lobster 78, Maha Bhetra and Scallobs 65. For those, check the boat’s page and ask before booking.

The split follows price. The median full day is ฿107,000 on the 52 baht-priced boats that include lunch and ฿50,450 on the 24 that do not. Lunch is not a sign of a large yacht, though: Princess 78, Princess S72 KATI S and Vanora 170 are among the dearest days in the list and still leave meals out.

Is lunch included on a half day?

On 5 of the 56 boats that sell a half day. Shibuli Leopard 40 and Shashani Leopard 43 at ฿59,000, Sanyati Leopard 51 at ฿66,000, Zambezia Leopard 53 at ฿69,500 and Shangani 70 Ft at ฿98,000 serve a Thai lunch on full days with a barbecue and, in the words of their pages, lunch without the barbecue on half days. All five leave from Boat Lagoon Marina. Their pages also count beer differently by format: six per adult on a full day and three on a half day.

On 47 boats the half day has no lunch, and four pages do not say: Leopard 47 Myra, Mami Wata, Seascape 2 and Westport 130 Sea Bear. A few pages offer something in between. Limpopo Axopar 28 serves snacks and fresh fruit on its half day. Lagoon 450 St Anna caters on half days on request, the price depending on the menu. Leopard 51 Aurora offers a freshly cooked lunch by a Thai chef for an extra charge without printing the price. Mami Wata serves its gourmet lunch on day charters but not on the sunset cruise. On sunset charters, Axopar 37 LILA, Fountaine Pajot 40 SUAY and Princess V39 ANFIELD include a meat and cheese platter for four, and a second platter costs ฿2,500.

What does food cost when it is not in the price?

Every price above is per person or per boat as the page prints it, on top of the boat’s rate. Two conditions change the total more than the set price does. Gin 37, Sea Ray Sundancer 46 Vodka, Whisky 48 and the 4-Engine Speed Catamaran sell set lunches only in orders of at least 10 sets, and Gin 37 takes up to six guests: a set lunch for a small group still costs at least ฿5,000, so a full day becomes ฿48,900 + ฿5,000 = ฿53,900. Fortuna 55 needs its food sets ordered 24 hours ahead, at least ten.

On the eight boats with a gas grill to hire for ฿1,200, food is pre-ordered at extra charge or brought aboard, and their pages list hotel transfer, food and extra services together as pre-order items.

Can you have a private chef on board?

On 17 boats a page mentions a chef or a cook, in five different ways:

• In the crew: Astondoa 102ft, Bilgin 98ft, Falcon 106 and Song of Songs, all motor yachts of 98 ft or more, and the Pisces 85 power catamaran, whose page lists a crew of 11 with a private chef. Leopard 51 Se La Vie lists a captain, a cook and a deckhand.
• Instead of the Thai lunch: Technema 89 Say Yes, Ferretti 80 Sofia and Beluga 88, on request and subject to the chef’s availability; the menu ingredients are paid separately at ฿1,050 or ฿1,700 per person on the first two and ฿1,050 or ฿1,750 on Beluga.
• For a fee: Happy Ours 58 and Leopard 90 Moon Glider print a private chef at ฿5,000 in high season, ฿6,000 in the peak and ฿4,500 in low season, plus ingredients.
• With the overnight format: Lagoon 450 St Anna, Lagoon 56 OO7, Leopard 47 Myra, Shangani 70 Ft and The Origin 90 include a chef only on overnight trips; Say Yes, Sofia and Leopard 51 Aurora include one overnight as well. Beluga 88 charges ฿10,000 for a chef on a multi-day charter.
• Paid, no price: Leopard 51 Aurora sells a Thai chef lunch on a half day for an extra charge.

Princess 54 and Princess 78 list chef and meals as not included. The other 65 pages do not mention a chef, so a chef on those boats is a question for the booking, not a given.

Which drinks are in the price?

Soft drinks are listed as included on 81 of the 84 pages and fruit on 78, usually together with water, ice, tea and coffee. Aventure, Fortuna 55 and Happy Ours 58 do not list soft drinks; Astondoa 102ft, Aventure, Fortuna 55, Happy Ours 58, Maha Bhetra and Song of Songs do not list fruit. For those six boats, check the boat’s page before the day. Song of Songs lists all beverages in the price.

Beer is in the price on 51 boats:

• 24 cans or bottles on 29 boats; on Lagoon 56 OO7 and Leopard 47 Myra the alternative is two bottles of Prosecco.
• Six per adult on 7 boats; on Limpopo Axopar 28 only on the full day, and on the five Boat Lagoon catamarans three per adult on a half day.
• A case or simply “beer” on the other 15.

On 8 boats drinks are sold aboard instead: beer at ฿100 a can on Lagoon 450 St Anna, Leopard 51 Aurora and Leopard 51 Se La Vie, and a bar or alcoholic drinks for sale on Lobster 78, Scallobs 65, Satisfaction 55, Leopard 47 Summer S and Leopard 48 Summer V. Nine pages list alcohol as not included, and 16 do not mention beer at all.

Bringing drinks and any corkage depend on the boat; ask before booking.

What do you eat on an overnight charter?

Of the 48 boats with an overnight format, 30 include all meals, with breakfast, lunch and dinner or full board in the wording of their pages. Leopard 51 Se La Vie includes all meals except the first breakfast and the last dinner. Seven charge for them: Princess 42, Princess 78 Maritimus, Princess 78 W.J.Lip, Princess S65 KATI and Princess S72 KATI S at ฿5,000 per person a day; Beluga 88, where chef and meals are not included overnight and the chef costs ฿10,000; and Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42, which sells its menu at ฿500 per guest. Princess 54, Princess 78 and Vanora 170 list meals or food as not included. Seven pages do not say what happens to meals overnight: Astondoa 102ft, Azimut 46, Bilgin 98ft, Falcon 106, Galeon 500 Fly, Leopard 43 and Olympia 76.

Sunreef 60 Eco E-MOTION separates two formats. On a short charter, full board on the standard menu, snacks, fruit, water and standard soft drinks are included; on a weekly charter food and drinks are paid at cost from an advance provisioning allowance. Can you bring food on board?

Seventeen pages say food may come aboard. Twelve allow it at no extra charge: Al Dhaen 38 Vice, AQVA 37, Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco, Fountaine Pajot 42 Tahaa, Kiri Long-tail 40, Lagoon 56 OO7, Leopard 47 Myra, Leopard 47 Summer S, Leopard 48 Summer V, Nautitech 47 Pepper, Nautitech 47 Senna and The Origin 90. Gin 37, Sea Ray Sundancer 46 Vodka and Whisky 48 allow it at no extra charge with one condition, no pork. Fortuna 55 takes pre-cooked food and does not allow cooking on the yacht. Leopard 51 Se La Vie welcomes food brought aboard.

Lobster 78 and Scallobs 65 charge ฿200 per guest for food brought aboard, with the barbecue grill and tableware included. The other 65 pages do not say, so ask. Bringing drinks and any corkage depend on the boat; ask before booking.

What do the three yachts under the company’s management include?

Technema 89 Say Yes and Ferretti 80 Sofia include a Thai lunch on full-day charters. In its place a private chef can cook on request, subject to the chef’s availability, with menu ingredients at ฿1,050 or ฿1,700 per person depending on the menu. Soft drinks, fresh fruit, tea and coffee and one case of beer of 24 cans are in the price; Sofia adds a bottle of Prosecco. Half days include neither lunch nor the hotel transfer. Overnight, both include a private chef and all meals. Their full days start at ฿140,000 in high season for 12 guests.

Beluga 88 includes the same Thai lunch or private chef on full days, with ingredients at ฿1,050 or ฿1,750 per person, plus soft drinks, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, a bottle of Prosecco and a case of beer. Lunch is not included on half days. On overnight charters chef and meals are not included, and a private chef costs ฿10,000. These are three boats out of 84; the other pages set different terms, as the table shows.

What does a day with lunch actually add up to?

25 guests on Fortuna 55, full day with ฿500 food sets: ฿72,400

The eight-hour full day costs ฿59,900 outside the peak period from 15 December to 28 February, and the rate covers 25 guests. Lunch is not included; the cheapest food set is ฿500 per person, so 25 sets add ฿12,500 for ฿72,400 in all, about ฿2,896 per guest. With the dearest set at ฿1,380 the food is ฿34,500 and the day ฿94,400. The sets are ordered 24 hours ahead, at least ten.

20 guests on Whisky 48, full day with a Thai set lunch: ฿60,900

The nine-hour full day costs ฿50,900 for up to 20 guests, except from 27 December to 2 January and 13 to 15 April. A Thai or vegetarian set lunch at ฿500 for 20 guests adds ฿10,000: ฿60,900 in all, about ฿3,045 per guest. The seafood set at ฿800 makes the lunch ฿16,000 and the day ฿66,900.

20 guests on Indigo 53 Super Mario, buffet lunch in the price: ฿89,900

The eight-hour full day costs ฿84,900 for 1 to 15 guests outside the high season from 15 December to 15 January, with a buffet lunch included. Five more guests at ฿1,000 each make ฿89,900, about ฿4,495 per guest. A barbecue on top of the buffet is ฿200 per person, so for all 20 it adds ฿4,000 and the day comes to ฿93,900.

12 guests on Technema 89 Say Yes, private chef instead of the Thai lunch: ฿152,600

The eight-hour Coral Island day with Promthep Cape or Maiton costs ฿140,000 in high season, and the day rate covers twelve guests; with the Thai lunch that is the whole bill. A private chef in place of the lunch, on request, adds menu ingredients at ฿1,050 per person, ฿12,600 for twelve, so the day comes to ฿152,600, about ฿12,717 per guest. With the ฿1,700 menu the ingredients are ฿20,400 and the day ฿160,400.

What should you ask before booking?

The table answers most questions from the pages; these are the ones that depend on the date and the group.

• Is lunch in the price for the format you want, full day or half day, and what kind of lunch is it?
• If it is sold extra, what does it cost per person, and is there a minimum number of sets?
• Can a private chef come, at what fee, and are the ingredients extra?
• On an overnight trip, which meals are included and which are charged?
• May food be brought aboard, and is there a fee?

The list has 84 boats from the catalogue of Horizon Cruises Phuket, read from each boat’s page on its website on 4 October 2026. For each boat the generator read the “What is included” and “What is not included” lists, the price table and the description, and recorded lunch on a full day and a half day, a chef, soft drinks, fruit, beer and meals overnight, keeping the source line for every entry and checking it against the page text. A boat counts as including an item only where its page says so; where a page is silent, the guide says “not stated”. Prices are the lowest full-day rate on the card, whole boat with crew. Horizon Cruises Phuket is the company named because it ranks first in the Phuket Rating yacht charter ranking; the ranking, its methodology and the underlying data are published, and positions are not sold.
