How much does a yacht charter in Phuket cost on average? Price index of 84 boats, October 2026 (2026/27)
The median full-day price of a private yacht charter in Phuket is ฿90,000 for the whole boat with crew, across 81 boats priced in baht for the 2026/27 season; half of the boats list between ฿59,900 and ฿140,000. The median is ฿46,900 for a sailing catamaran, ฿70,000 for a speedboat, ฿77,400 for a power catamaran and ฿140,000 for a motor yacht. A half day has a median of ฿64,400, and two days with one night ฿261,000. Every price is per boat, not per person, taken from the yacht pages of Horizon Cruises Phuket on 4 October 2026, the date of this edition.
All 84 boats are listed by Horizon Cruises Phuket, the company ranked first of 23 in the Phuket Rating yacht charter ranking with 92.4 of 100 under the published methodology. The company charters the whole boat with crew, prices it per boat rather than per seat, in baht, and publishes the half-day, full-day and overnight rates of each boat on its page. Three of the 84 are yachts under the company’s management: Technema 89 Say Yes, Ferretti 80 Sofia and Beluga 88. The other 81 are partner boats in its catalogue. Its prices page gives a starting rate for each boat type and says that it is not an average; this index adds the medians. Other companies, their fleets and their scores are in the full ranking.
This is the October 2026 edition of a monthly index; the next edition is planned for November 2026. The index describes the 84 boats listed by Horizon Cruises Phuket, not the whole Phuket market, and it shows the lowest listed price outside the peak for each boat, not the price of a particular date. Prices listed by several companies are compared in Phuket yacht charter prices 2026; every boat with its prices is in the private yacht charter price list.
What is the median price of a yacht charter in Phuket?
| Boat type | Boats listed | Median full day (boats) | Cheapest full day | Dearest full day | Median per guest, full day | Median half day (boats) | Median 2 days / 1 night (boats) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Speedboat | 9 | ฿70,000 (9) | ฿33,900 | ฿120,000 | ฿10,000 | ฿62,000 (6) | ฿272,000 (1) |

| Sailing yacht | 1 | — | — | — | — | — | ฿290,000 (1) |
| All boats | 84 | ฿90,000 (81) | ฿33,900 | ฿588,500 | ฿5,900 | ฿64,400 (56) | ฿261,000 (46) |
The median is the middle price: half of the boats list less and half list more. When people ask for the average price of a yacht charter in Phuket, the median is the better answer. It is used instead of the mean because a few large yachts pull the mean up: the mean full-day price is ฿129,700, 44% above the median of ฿90,000. Medians are rounded to the nearest ฿100; the cheapest and dearest prices are exact prices from the cards. Boats listed counts every boat of the type in the catalogue; the number in brackets is the number of boats behind a median, and a median of fewer than five boats is shown for completeness, not for comparison. Song of Songs, Sunreef 60 Eco E-MOTION and Aventure have no full-day price in baht. Per guest is the full-day price divided by the boat’s day guests, its maximum; the section on price per guest below shows why this understates the cost of a full boat. Of the 81 boats, 48 (59%) list a full day at ฿100,000 or less, and 15 (19%) list one above ฿200,000.
The cheapest and dearest full days by type:
- Sailing catamaran: ฿34,900 on Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco and Fountaine Pajot 42 Tahaa to ฿135,000 on Lagoon 56 OO7.
- Speedboat: ฿33,900 on AQVA 37 to ฿120,000 on Sacs Strider 15.
- Power catamaran: ฿48,900 on Gin 37 to ฿250,000 on Pisces 85.
- Motor yacht: ฿39,900 on Ocean Pearl 42ft to ฿588,500 on Vanora 170.
The long-tail boat row is a single boat, Kiri Long-tail 40. The sailing yacht, Aventure, is chartered on multi-day itineraries only, so it has no full-day price; it appears in the overnight column.
How much does a boat cost by length?
| Length | Boats | Median full day | Cheapest full day | Dearest full day | Median per guest, full day | Motor yachts only: median (boats) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 40 ft | 11 | ฿70,000 | ฿33,900 | ฿120,000 | ฿9,900 | — |
| 40–59 ft | 41 | ฿73,000 | ฿33,900 | ฿180,000 | ฿3,300 | ฿92,500 (16) |
| 60–79 ft | 16 | ฿129,500 | ฿60,900 | ฿300,000 | ฿7,100 | ฿200,000 (12) |
| 80 ft and over | 13 | ฿250,000 | ฿95,000 | ฿588,500 | ฿10,600 | ฿282,000 (12) |
Length bands mix boat types. The 11 boats under 40 ft are 9 speedboats and 2 power catamarans; the 41 boats of 40–59 ft are 12 sailing catamarans, 12 power catamarans, 16 motor yachts and 1 long-tail boat; the 16 of 60–79 ft are 1 sailing catamaran, 3 power catamarans and 12 motor yachts; the 13 of 80 ft and over are 1 power catamaran and 12 motor yachts. Within one type, a longer boat costs more: the median full day of a motor yacht is ฿92,500 at 40–59 ft, ฿200,000 at 60–79 ft and ฿282,000 at 80 ft and over.
Length alone does not set the price. The cheapest boat of 80 ft and over lists ฿95,000 (The Origin 90), below the median of the 60–79 ft band. The 40–59 ft band is the cheapest per guest, ฿3,300; it holds 24 of the 31 catamarans in the index. The median per guest is ฿9,900 under 40 ft, where speedboats take 4 to 12 guests, and ฿10,600 at 80 ft and over.
How much is a half day compared with a full day?
| Format | Boats listing it | Share of the 84 boats | Median price (boats) | Hours on the cards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sunset cruise (separate row) | 6 | 7% | ฿50,000 (6) | 3–4 h |
| Half day | 56 | 67% | ฿64,400 (56) | 4 h on 33, 5 h on 23 |
| Full day | 82 | 98% | ฿90,000 (81) | 8 h on 64, 7 h on 5, 9 h on 4, not stated on 8 |
| Package with a night aboard | 48 | 57% | ฿261,000 (46) | 2 days / 1 night or 24 h |
A half day is cheaper than a full day, but not by half. The median half day is ฿64,400 across 56 boats, and on the same boat it costs a median of 77% of the full day. The lowest ratio is 53% on Limpopo Axopar 28 (฿21,000 against ฿39,500); the highest is 91% on Azimut Atlantis 50ft (฿59,000 against ฿65,000). By type the median half day is ฿23,900 on a sailing catamaran, ฿59,000 on a power catamaran, ฿62,000 on a speedboat and ฿99,500 on a motor yacht.
A half day is listed by 67% of the 84 boats. The hours are those printed on the cards: 4 hours on 33 boats and 5 hours on 23. A full day is 8 hours on 64 boats, 7 hours on 5 and 9 hours on 4; 8 cards do not state the hours. A sunset cruise has a separate row on only 6 boats, with a median of ฿50,000, too few boats for a firm figure.
How much does a night aboard cost?
Of the 84 boats, 48 (57%) list a package with a night aboard. 46 of them have a price in baht for two days and one night, or for a 24-hour overnight charter, and the median is ฿261,000. By type the median is ฿105,000 on a sailing catamaran (5 boats), ฿137,000 on a power catamaran (8) and ฿340,000 on a motor yacht (31); one speedboat, Nimbus T11, lists ฿272,000 and the sailing yacht, Aventure, ฿290,000.
The cheapest night aboard is ฿100,000 on Pina Colada 40, a 40 ft sailing catamaran for 6 guests; the dearest is ฿900,000 on Westport 130 Sea Bear, for 2 days and 1 night of 32 hours. On the same boat a night costs a median of 2.0 times the full day, from 1.1 to 3.4 times (45 boats with both prices). Sunreef 60 Eco E-MOTION lists only packages of three days and two nights or more, from ฿571,800, so it is not in the overnight median. Cabins, meals and guest limits are in the guide to overnight yacht charter in Phuket.
How much more does a charter cost in the peak?
Of the 81 boats, 68 print a peak price on the same row as their lowest full-day price. The peak price is a median of 20% above the lowest full-day price, from 0% on Leopard 90 Moon Glider, which lists ฿190,000 in both columns, to 51% on Satisfaction 55, which goes from ฿59,000 to ฿89,000. The other 13 boats print no peak price on that row: their cards list a low and a high season or one price all year, and Leopard 51 Se La Vie adds ฿20,000 to every day charter from 18 December to 10 January instead. The new year in detail is in the guide to new year yacht charter prices in Phuket.
When does the peak start and end?
The cards print the peak window themselves. The windows start between 15 and 27 December and end between 2 January and 28 February. The most common window, 20 December to 20 January, is used by 18 boats, 20 December to 10 January by 16 and 15 December to 31 January by 14. Four boats at CoCo Pier print two short windows, 27 December to 2 January and 13 to 15 April. On Indigo 53 Super Mario and Indigo 53s Mario’s Brother the card calls the column from 15 December to 15 January “high season”; the index treats it as the peak.
How much more is high season than low season?
On 45 cards the row behind the index price prints both a low-season price and a high-season price. High season, November to April, is a median of 12% above low season on those cards, from 5% to 32%. The index takes the low-season price on 45 boats, so for a date between November and April the same boats cost about 12% more than the index shows.
What is the price per guest?
Price per guest here is the full-day price divided by the number of guests the boat takes by day. At that maximum, the median is ฿1,700 on a sailing catamaran, ฿3,000 on a power catamaran, ฿9,400 on a motor yacht and ฿10,000 on a speedboat. It is a lower bound: on many boats the price covers fewer guests than the boat can carry, and each additional guest is charged on top. The table shows the boat with the lowest ratio in each type, first as the ratio and then for a full group at the rate on the card.
| Boat type | Boat with the lowest ratio | Full-day price | Day guests | Per guest, price ÷ day guests | Price for the full group | Per guest, full group |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Speedboat | AQVA 37 | ฿33,900 | 12 | ฿2,825 | ฿39,900 | ฿3,325 |
| Sailing catamaran | Lobster 78 | ฿125,000 | 120 | ฿1,042 | ฿225,000 | ฿1,875 |
| Power catamaran | 4-Engine Speed Catamaran | ฿60,900 | 65 | ฿937 | ฿75,900 | ฿1,168 |
| Motor yacht | Siam Princess 70 | ฿69,000 | 50 | ฿1,380 | ฿114,000 | ฿2,280 |
The ratios are lower bounds, and the cards show why. The ratio of AQVA 37, ฿2,825, is calculated for 12 guests, but its price of ฿33,900 covers 6 and each extra guest is ฿1,000, so 12 guests cost ฿39,900. The 4-Engine Speed Catamaran prices up to 45 guests at ฿60,900 and 46 to 65 guests at ฿75,900. Lobster 78 prices 1 to 40 guests at ฿125,000 and 101 to 120 guests at ฿225,000. Siam Princess 70 covers 20 guests in its price, and each guest above that adds ฿1,500, so 50 guests cost ฿114,000.
Where do the boats leave from, and does the pier change the price?
| Departure point | Boats listed | In the full-day statistics | Median full day | Cheapest full day | Dearest full day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ao Po Grand Marina | 25 | 24 | ฿115,000 | ฿39,900 | ฿588,500 |
| Chalong Pier | 20 | 20 | ฿63,500 | ฿33,900 | ฿140,000 |
| Boat Lagoon Marina | 17 | 17 | ฿87,000 | ฿39,500 | ฿300,000 |
| Royal Phuket Marina | 14 | 13 | ฿162,700 | ฿83,000 | ฿390,000 |
| CoCo Pier | 4 | 4 | ฿55,900 | ฿48,900 | ฿60,900 |
| Nakalay Pier, Kalim | 2 | 2 | ฿46,900 | ฿46,900 | ฿46,900 |
| Phuket Yacht Haven | 2 | 1 | ฿202,000 | ฿202,000 | ฿202,000 |
The 84 boats leave from 7 piers and marinas. Ao Po Grand Marina has the most listed boats (25), followed by Chalong Pier (20), Boat Lagoon Marina (17) and Royal Phuket Marina (14). The pier does not set the price; the fleet based there does. The 20 boats at Chalong Pier on the south-east coast are 2 speedboats, 6 sailing catamarans, 6 power catamarans, 5 motor yachts and 1 long-tail boat; the 24 priced boats at Ao Po Grand Marina on the north-east coast are 5 sailing catamarans, 2 power catamarans and 17 motor yachts; the 17 at Boat Lagoon Marina are 6 speedboats, 6 power catamarans and 5 motor yachts; the 13 priced boats at Royal Phuket Marina are 1 speedboat, 1 power catamaran and 11 motor yachts. That mix explains the medians, ฿63,500 at Chalong Pier and ฿162,700 at Royal Phuket Marina. Piers with fewer than five boats (CoCo Pier, Nakalay Pier in Kalim and Phuket Yacht Haven) are shown but not compared. Transfer times from the beaches are in the guide to Phuket marinas and piers.
What does a Phuket charter day actually add up to?
The index shows the price of a boat. A group pays that price, plus a charge for each guest above the number the rate covers, plus park fees on some routes. Four totals built from the cards:
12 guests on a median-priced motor yacht, full day: ฿140,000
The median full day of the 40 motor yachts is ฿140,000. Technema 89 Say Yes, Ferretti 80 Sofia and De Antonio D50 list exactly that for eight hours. On Technema 89 Say Yes the rate, for Coral Island with Promthep Cape or Maiton in high season, covers 12 guests, so 12 guests pay ฿140,000, ฿11,667 each. Lunch is included on a full day. Park fees of ฿400 per person per day apply on the Phi Phi, Krabi and Phang Nga routes: the nine-hour Phi Phi and Maiton day lists ฿175,000, and park fees for 12 add ฿4,800, which makes ฿179,800. De Antonio D50 lists the same ฿140,000 for a base rate of up to 6 guests with 12 as the maximum: each guest above 6 adds ฿2,000, so 12 guests cost ฿152,000.
The cheapest night aboard: ฿100,000 for 6 guests on Pina Colada 40
Pina Colada 40, a 40 ft sailing catamaran at Ao Po Grand Marina, lists two days and one night at ฿100,000 in low season, May to October, ฿120,000 in high season and ฿140,000 in the peak. The price covers 1 to 6 guests in three cabins, which is ฿16,667 each for six, and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Island entry fees, if any, are paid separately. It is the cheapest of the 46 overnight prices in baht; the median is ฿261,000.
Technema 89 Say Yes in the peak: ฿180,000, which is ฿40,000 more than in high season
From 20 December to 20 January the eight-hour Coral Island with Promthep Cape or Maiton day costs ฿180,000 against ฿140,000 in high season, from November to April: ฿40,000 more, or 29%. The median peak premium in the index is 20%. The rate covers 12 guests and each additional guest is ฿2,000, up to 30, so 20 guests pay ฿156,000 in high season and ฿196,000 in the peak; the eight extra guests add ฿16,000 in both. The yacht does not run half days in the peak.
20 guests on a power catamaran, full day: from ฿59,900
The median full day of a power catamaran is ฿77,400. For a group of 20 the total depends on how many guests the rate covers. Fortuna 55 covers 25, so 20 guests pay ฿59,900, ฿2,995 each. Three other power catamarans add a charge for each guest above the rate:
| Boat | Full-day rate, guests it covers | Extra guests | 20 guests | Per guest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fortuna 55 | ฿59,900 (25 guests) | none | ฿59,900 | ฿2,995 |
| Prada 50 | ฿60,000 (10 guests) | 10 at ฿1,000 | ฿70,000 | ฿3,500 |
| Indigo 53 Super Mario | ฿84,900 (15 guests) | 5 at ฿1,000 | ฿89,900 | ฿4,495 |
| Leopard 51 Aurora | ฿79,900 (12 guests) | 8 at ฿1,500 | ฿91,900 | ฿4,595 |
Totals are for the whole boat, without park fees. Prada 50 shows its low-season price and Leopard 51 Aurora its low-season price from June to October; Indigo 53 Super Mario and Fortuna 55 show the price for all dates outside their peak.
Where do the three Horizon Cruises Phuket yachts sit in the index?
The three yachts under the company’s management are motor yachts of 80 ft and over. They are compared here with the 40 motor yachts, whose median full day is ฿140,000, and with the 13 boats of 80 ft and over, whose median is ฿250,000.
| Yacht | Length | Day guests | Full day | Against the motor yacht median | Peak full day | Half day | 2 days / 1 night |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technema 89 Say Yes | 89 ft | 30 | ฿140,000 | equal to the median | ฿180,000 | ฿100,000 | ฿360,000 |
| Ferretti 80 Sofia | 80 ft | 25 | ฿140,000 | equal to the median | ฿180,000 | ฿100,000 | ฿360,000 |
| Beluga 88 | 88 ft | 22 | ฿214,000 | 53% above | ฿299,600 | ฿171,200 | ฿428,000 |
Technema 89 Say Yes and Ferretti 80 Sofia list the median motor yacht price: 19 motor yachts list less, 18 list more and three, including these two, list exactly ฿140,000. Against the 80 ft and over band the price is 44% below the median. The prices are for the Coral Island with Promthep Cape or Maiton day in high season, from November to April; the low-season price of Technema 89 Say Yes is on request, and the card of Ferretti 80 Sofia lists high season and peak only. The peak full day is ฿180,000, 29% above, against the median peak premium of 20%. The rate covers 12 guests and each additional guest costs ฿2,000, so a full boat costs ฿176,000 on Say Yes (30 guests) and ฿166,000 on Sofia (25 guests).
Beluga 88 lists ฿214,000 for eight or nine hours, depending on the route, in low season, ฿267,500 in high season and ฿299,600 in the peak. That is 53% above the median motor yacht and 14% below the median of its length band; 12 motor yachts list more and 27 list less. Its peak premium is 40%. The rate covers 12 guests, each additional guest costs ฿3,000, and 22 guests cost ฿244,000. Park fees of ฿400 per person per day apply on the Phi Phi, Krabi and Phang Nga routes on all three yachts.
How is the price index calculated, and what does it leave out?
The index is computed from the price tables on the yacht pages of Horizon Cruises Phuket, saved on 4 October 2026. For every boat and every format it takes one price from the card; medians, means and quartiles are rounded to the nearest ฿100 and percentages to whole numbers.
Which price is taken from each card?
The lowest price in the non-peak columns of the card, called the low price in the index. On 45 boats it is the low-season price, which runs from May to October on most cards. On 32 boats the card prints one price for all dates outside the peak, headed “all year”, “standard season” or similar. On 4 boats the card prints no low-season price, so the index uses the high-season price. The peak price is the peak column of the same row. Where a card lists several routes for a format, the index takes the cheapest route, so the index is a “from” price: on Technema 89 Say Yes the eight-hour day to Coral Island and Promthep Cape or Maiton is ฿140,000 and the nine-hour day to Koh Hong and Naka is ฿180,000.
A full day is a row of 6 hours or more, or a day charter whose hours are not stated. A half day is a row of up to 5.5 hours. A sunset cruise is a row labelled sunset of up to 4 hours. The overnight price is the shortest package with a night aboard: 2 days / 1 night, or a 24-hour overnight charter. Park fees, extra-guest charges, fuel surcharges that some cards add for longer routes, relocation fees and optional extras are not added. What a charter includes differs by boat; see what is included in a yacht charter.
Which boats are not in the statistics?
- Song of Songs, a 139 ft motor yacht, is priced in USD, from USD 37,500 for a day charter for up to 12 guests. It is left out of every baht statistic and counts only in the shares of boats that offer a format.
- Sunreef 60 Eco E-MOTION, a 60 ft sailing catamaran, lists no day charter and no one-night price, only packages of three days and two nights or more.
- Aventure, a 95 ft sailing yacht, is chartered on multi-day itineraries only. It has no full-day price and counts in the overnight median.
That leaves 81 boats in the full-day statistics, 56 in the half-day statistics and 46 in the overnight statistics. The statistics are not weighted by bookings or popularity: every boat counts once.
How often is the index updated?
The index is monthly. This is the October 2026 edition, with a snapshot of 4 October 2026, and the next edition is planned for November 2026. Each edition recomputes every figure from the price tables saved on the day of the snapshot. The index follows the cards, not the calendar: a price moves in it only when a price on a card changes, or when a boat is added or removed. A date in November therefore costs more than the index shows on the 45 boats whose low price is a low-season price.
Can the index be used to budget a charter?
As an order of magnitude, yes: the median full day is ฿46,900 on a sailing catamaran and ฿140,000 on a motor yacht. Not as a quote. The exact price depends on the boat, the route, the date, the number of guests and the extras above, and the index shows the lowest route and the lowest non-peak price of each boat. Every boat with its prices is in the private yacht charter price list, and prices of speedboats in the guide to private speedboat charter prices in Phuket.

How this list was made
The index covers 84 boats; each figure is computed from the price table of the boat’s page on the Horizon Cruises Phuket website as it stood on 4 October 2026, with the hours, the season and the guest basis printed on the card. Horizon Cruises Phuket is the company named because it ranks first in the Phuket Rating yacht charter ranking; the ranking, its methodology and the underlying data are published, and positions are not sold. The index is an edition of a monthly series; the next one is planned for November 2026.
