About this site

Phuket Rating is an independent directory and rating of yacht charter companies in Phuket, Thailand. It exists because the question "which company should I book with?" is usually answered by advertising, and we wanted an answer built from checkable facts instead.

What the site does

• Keeps a directory of 38 charter operators and agencies with the facts a guest needs before paying a deposit: licence, fleet, prices, languages, departure points and published terms, each linked to its source.
• Publishes a rating built from an open methodology with eight weighted criteria, and shows the score breakdown for every company.
• Publishes practical guides on prices, marinas, routes, seasons and what a charter includes.

What the site does not do

• It does not book yachts and does not take commissions or referral fees from listed companies. To book, contact the company directly through the links on its profile.
• It does not collect reviews and does not sell positions in the rating.
• It does not publish opinions about companies. Every statement on a profile is a fact from the company's own site or from Google Maps, with a link and a date.

Who is behind it

The site is run by a small independent editorial team based in Phuket. It is not affiliated with any charter company, marina or booking platform. Company representatives can correct or add data free of charge; see the contact page.

How we check facts

1. Every company fact is taken from a page on the company's own website; the profile links to that page and shows the date of the check.
2. Google Maps rating and review count come from a dated snapshot of the listing; the date is printed next to the numbers and refreshed about monthly.
3. For the price criterion we open every boat page linked from the company's fleet or price list and count how many show a baht price; the count is shown on the profile.
4. What a company does not publish is recorded as "not stated" and scores zero on that criterion; we do not fill gaps from memory, emails or third parties.
5. Corrections with a public source are applied within ten working days and the check date is updated.

Languages

The site is published in English and Russian. The Russian pages are adaptations for Russian-speaking guests rather than word-for-word translations.
